About Me

I am a New York-based freelance photojournalist. My background in civil legal services equipped me with an unwavering commitment to serving the underserved. I'm interested in images that empower storytellers, expose travesties of justice, and celebrate life's absurdities. Often seeking boundary-pushing topics, I blend stylized documentary and classic photojournalism, striving to create imagery that demands attention. I aim to approach every outing with an open mind, a desire to listen, and the hope of challenging myself and those who view my work.

I am a contributor to the New York Times, New York Magazine, Getty Images, AFP, WNYC, among others. My work has been included in the Best Photos of the Year by the Washington Post in 2022, Atlantic in 2022, Guardian in 2022, and in Time in 2022 and 2023. I have been selected to participate in the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXVI, New York Portfolio Review 2024, and Missouri Photo Workshop 75 (where I received the Howard Chapnick Award distinguishing “a photographer who, with exceptional honesty and integrity, explores and documents an issue or story of great social concern,” according to the MPW website.
